The Deception Of Fast Diets
When food supplies vary greatly throughout the year, the ability to store calories as fat is a biological reflex of survival. By cons, if these food supplies are regular, there is no reason to gain weight! If you eat more calories than you need, you will gain weight. Even an excessive intake of protein is stored as fat. Note that diets rich in meat are also high in saturated fat than protein.
Most people who try to lose weight do not make the final changes to their lifestyles that are necessary. They may lose a few pounds short term, but can not prevent them from returning. Many programs "fast" diets are scams, some are even dangerous. Programs that emphasize weight loss, but ignore what component is lost, are particularly bad.
LOSS OF WATER: many techniques show quick results because they facilitate the removal of water by the body. The medical term for these diets is "diuretic". Clothes make us sweat because they increase our bodies’ heat. The same result is achieved with steam rooms, saunas, and similar equipment. Any professional athlete knows that a typical workout can cause loss of 0.5 to 5 kilograms (1 to 10 pounds) of water or more, which must be replaced to prevent heat stroke, or even death. Of course, once you stabalize (which is inevitable), you body will return to its previous position!
LOSS OF MUSCLE: Many programs focus on reducing the total number of calories consumed, which is fine if it is done wisely. Dangerous programs are those that starve the body so that it is also losing muscle and more fat. When most people plan to return to practice food they had before the procedure, the muscle lost is usually replaced by adipose tissue (fat). Muscle mass consumes calories even when the body is at rest. Reduce muscle only to lose weight means that the body is less balanced to control the weight.
DISPOSAL OF FOOD Inger: laxatives are necessary in cases of constipation, or to facilitate regularity, but NOT to lose weight! If you do not eat much fruit and raw vegetables, moderate amounts of dietary fiber supplements are acceptable.
BLOCKERS OF FAT OR STARCH: Two criteria must be respected ... they must be safe for metabolism, and be genuinely effective. To our knowledge, none exists. Also note that chitosan, a so-called "fat magnet" does not work.
Appetite: They exist, but many have been largely removed from the market, it is not without reason. Narcotics are one such group of drugs.
FEN-FEN or FEN-PHEN, fenfluramine and the dexfenfluramine, an anorexic drug, was banned by the FDA in 1997, mainly due to damage of the heart valve.
FAT BURNER STIMULANTS: the "fat burners" are talking about some methods that exist in our bodies, are imaginary. Pills for "activate" did not target?
METABOLISM ACCELERATORS: Amphetamines speed up the metabolism, and were once widely used by people to diet and by students studying for their exams, or drug addicts. Habituation requires increasing doses. High doses cause sleeplessness, nervousness and euphoria, and can cause death. Use may be followed by severe depression and mental exhaustion. DO NOT TAKE!
In late 2003, a class of diet pills was removed from the market due to deaths of athletes and people in the plan; Ephedra, also called ma huang, and ephedrine synthesis. The ephedrine alkaloids are amphetamine-like products, used in some medical prescriptions, and found in herbal teas. Side effects include increased blood pressure and pulse rate, nerve damage, muscle injury, psychosis, stroke, memory loss, nervousness, tremors, seizures, heart attacks. Why?
READ THE LABEL. Many diet products contain large quantities of sugar, fructose, maltodextrin, and modified cornstarch. These are poor choices for good nutrition, which can dangerously increase blood sugar in the blood, then fall to dangerously (hypoglycemia). Ingesting too much refined sugar can cause diabetes.
Thus, many "health food diet" diet is only when compared to foods rich in fat and salt!
FAT RESTRICTION: This should be a permanent part of a healthy food program for food for those who are not very physically active. Prior to modern mechanization, everyone outside the pampered ruling classes, always spent a lot of calories. This is why so many traditional foods / ethnic groups are rich in fat such as bacon and sausage, pastries, fried foods. What was good for our great grand parents can be bad for us today!
This is the cruel truth. Ingesting some fats is more effective than foods rich in sugars or protein to achieve satiety. The trick is to avoid saturated fats and trans fats (hydrogenated oils).
Knowledgeable individuals with good technical plan can get unsaturated fats from plant foods such as nuts and grains. The fervent practitioners of outdoor sports are mostly familiar with "maintenance of effort" as good old raisins and peanuts. Note that almonds and raisins chewed together in small quantity are very soft and cut hunger, and thus does not constitute a risk for weight control.
YOUR BEST DEFENSE against fraud of any kind is self-information. Do not be afraid to question what any source says, but consult several sources that do not mandate you to "sell" something. Publications and guidance of the government are good examples of useful information that can be easily found on the Internet!
