Suppleness And Health
As always, each of us proposes a series of goals and desires to achieve. Obviously first of all we want to be healthy. And we can maintain health and achieve a balanced diet, with a maximum of moderate alcohol consumption, therefore a regular program of exercise, but also by reducing fat and and quitting smoking.
The notion of "balanced diet" is assimilated from the theoretical point of view with great ease and even optimism, but in its implementation, the momentum disappears often.
Nutrition theory assumes that inadequate absorption of food causes degeneration of tissues and proper food combining is key to a perfect metabolism. Furthermore, experts believe that about one third of all cases of cancer (especially colon, stomach, esophagus, pancreas and breast) are related to diet. So far it is not clear which parts of our diet are generating the cancer. One thing is sure that a healthy diet prevents obesity, reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
Eating healthy means a balanced and varied diet that includes significant quantities of vegetables, fruits, cereals high in fiber, protein and moderate amounts of fat, salt and sugar. The fibers are nutrients that offer protection and functionality for colon. They are found in abundance in fresh fruits and vegetables but also in unprocessed cereals, in brown rice, peas and lentils. Worth mentioning is that fiber has to be consumed with large amounts of water because they are able to collect water, and so dehydration can occur.
Red meat and processed meat should be consumed in moderation. Red meat is a real source of protein, vitamins, minerals and iron, but is also high in saturated fats. So it is recommended to substitute them with alternative sources of protein: chicken, turkey, fish or soy. Processed meat (sausages, burgers, ham) to be eaten occasionally and in small quantities due to its high fat and food additives.
Fats are necessary only in very small quantities and unfortunately most people consume in excess.
Therefore, one important and very special are raw products: fruits and vegetables. Is recommended daily consumption of 5 servings of raw fruits and vegetables: one every meals and two snacks between meals.
Also, the vegetables should be consumed as a garnish, steam cooked to preserve largely healthful enzymes. Do not forget any delicious fruit: apple or orange, banana and tangerine, true friends, who daily give us energy and power to carry out our problems: to eat healthy and to be in shape.
