Importance Of Skin Care
Skin is one human organ that is charged with the function of protecting the body against pathogens and other external disasters such as sun rays, heat, pressure, vibration among others. It also helps in heat regulation, control of evaporation and resisting water from entering the body which might otherwise wash the essential nutrients from within. There are some diseases that affect the skin if good care is not observed leading to its destruction in totality. Some of the diseases that affect the skin include acne, skin cancer, herpes, psoriasis, rosacea, eczema and more.
To prevent yourself from getting these and other diseases, you should learn all the tips that will help your skin remain healthy and glowing at all times.
You should avoid the rays of the sun especially at 10 a.m and 4 p.m. as these are the times when the rays are hot and may penetrate your skin causing cancer. You should wear protective clothes at such times especially ones that block ultra-violet rays from the sun. You can use sunscreen that involves applying some creams that help care for the skin while in the sun. Smoking narrows the blood vessels decreasing the flow of blood. This in turn blocks the flow of the mineral salts, oxygen and vitamins A which are important to the body. Smoking damages the tissue that strengthens the elasticity of the skin making it weaker. Therefore, to achieve good skin one should stop smoking as early as possible.
It is also important to eat fats that are essential to the body as they help in the development of the skin and its growth. There are fats that are known to fight inflammation and prevention of skin cancer. These fats help in the treatment of the eczema and acne as well as people with dry skin, and in the growth of the hormones and cells that determine the growth of the skin. Some of these fats include flaxseed and walnut oils, cold water fish and other oil supplements that are rich in such oils. Avoid intake of excessive sugar that enters into the bloodstream and damages the protein molecules that results in damaged skin and formation of wrinkles which are as a result of loss of elasticity. Make sure that you cut the amount of sugar you take every morning in your tea or the coffee. Doing some exercises every morning helps your skin to stay healthy. One can achieve this by stretching every morning or going to the gym, as exercises reduce the chances of getting stressed, which contributes to the skin aging and loss of muscle tone. It is also good to visit a massage therapy for more consultation on how to take care of the skin.
Moreover, is advisable to eat food that digests easily to avoid constipation that affects the performance of the skin. Lots of water intake and food rich in fiber helps the skin to remain strong and healthy. With these tips, you are on your way to having yourself a glowing skin complexion.
